This is my story. And my son. I am thankful to Clay Aiken and his fans for letting me (and other readers) share it in his concerts and his Christmas book. The story has been spread by many, many people to help others to understand that they are not alone in their grief during the Holidays. It has helped some to realize when Christmas, and Life, is stripped down to bare necessities that Love is all that is left to hold onto.

Clay held a contest …
Clay held a contest at his fanclub website. Fans submitted stories, and he read through thousands of entries to choose those would fit into the outline of his show. Some stories were repeated at more than one show, and if the story’s writer wasn’t attending all the shows he chose to use it for, another reader substituted. That same story was probably read most often by the biggest # of different readers, because it had such a strong message of hope and renewal during the Christmas season.

Thank you for creating this video and this testament to this mother and to Clay for including this story in his concert. I am so glad you included the beginning of the next song, Who Could Imagine a King, because it shows beautiful heart and his intentions in featuring this story.
