We are. We mostly composed of 70% Hydrogen I think. Then remaining 30% is oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon and traces of other elements all of which were made in the stars. Ones you die, the atoms and molecules you made up of will be broken down by microbes and go back into the ”cycle” as i call it. Thats a FACT. Now is their a soul? Thats only based on FAITH. Not evidence. Personally for me being dead is the same as before being born. Thats why i value life, you get it ONES.

I give natural selection it’s credit. But I see it as an instrument thats been used in the creation process as a blueprint for All of life to evolve and to survive. Atoms changing velocity for no reason? don’t know. Is God doing it directly? maybe not but it sure is in some kind of kenetic law of motion. My point is I don’t know it all and either did einstein but I sure will not settle for the uncaused cause theory.

@skunksnag The thing is, natural selection can explain your eye and your complexity. However it is a bad model to involve god when you can’t explain something, why are atoms suddenly change velocity and direction for no reason? god is doing that? of course not, it’s a bad model of describing something. The point is you can’t give god as an explanation for what you don’t know. If you don’t know doesn’t mean the answer doesn’t exist.
