Stories inspiring faith abound. But faith is a strange thing. It cannot be proven even by true, awe-inpiring stories. But the stories are like seeds - perhaps like the short video that shows how long it takes for a bamboo shoot to grow.
It is my hope that these stories will be inspiring to you, that you will ponder them, that you will allow them to penetrate into your heart and that you will allow faith to rise up inside of you.
When our middle son disappeared in Hawaii in 1999, we realized more than ever before that life was much more than this tangible stuff we touch, see, smell and breathe every day. The eternal part, the spiritual part of life became just as real to us as the material and tangible part.
One of the reasons for this blog is to share that faith and that reality with you. I have carefully chosen each video, each book, each entry in the hopes that these stories will be inspiring to you. I apologize ahead of time of something strange appears here. Rest assured that it will be edited out as soon as possible.
Most importantly, we wanted to share our story with you. You can click on the link in the sidebar to see more about it and purchase either the e-book version or the print version of our book, Aloha is Forever.

Born with no arms or legs, Nick Vujicic gives an inspiring testimony about overcoming circumstances in one’s life.
There is a story many years ago of an elementary teacher. Her name was Mrs. Thompson. And as she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children a lie. Like most teachers, she looked at her students and said that she loved them all the same. But that was impossible, because there in the front row, slumped in his seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard. Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he didnt play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and that he constantly needed a bath. And Teddy could be unpleasant. It got to the point where Mr. Thompson would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold Xs and then putting a big “F” at the top of his papers. ………
